Baby Davis

These first few days have been crazy but I am so in love with my little guy! I never knew you could love someone so much- instantly! He is just wonderful and I of course think he is perfect:) Daddy took the whole week off too so we have been at home loving him to pieces. We feel so blessed to have him!!! Here are some pictures of our little man coming home from the hospital on Saturday and watching his first Bama game!!

Delivery Day

We went to the hospital at 2:30 Wednesday, November 11 to get things started. Jeri was given Pitocin at 5:00 Thursday morning, and Dr. Dupre broke Jeri's water at 7:00 am. She started to have some good contractions after that, and they gave her an epidural shortly after. Jeri said life was good after they gave her the epidural.

Davis arrived at 3:34 pm on Thursday November 12. He was 7lbs 12oz and 20 inches long. Below are some pictures of the big day.

So delivery date was coming up quickly but we were ready for our little man. Below are pictures of the nursery, last belly pictures, and off to the hospital!

38 weeks and and induction date

We have an induction date! I will be admitted Wednesday, November 11th and they will start the induction early Thursday morning at like 4 am. So, Davis will have a November 12th birthday:) which is the day before his granddaddy's (aka Big Daddy) birthday! Hope my dad is ready to share his birthday from here on out! Somehow I don't think he will mind. Dr. Dupre decided to induce me because I had an ultrasound on November 3rd and they estimated Davis was already 7 pounds and 1 ounce. He felt if he let me go all the way to my due date- November 20th- he might be too big for me to have. We will see! 36 weeks and last Bama game

Well, Davis and I have reached 36 weeks so we are on the less than a month count down! I think we are both ready for him to arrive- he is clearly out of room taking it out on my ribs and my bladder in an effort to make some more room! Poor baby has limited space since i am so short waisted. I just cannot wait to meet my little man:)

I went for my now weekly checkups on this past tuesday and still everything seems fine. I had a little blood pressure scare though. It was pretty high on Tuesday and so they wanted me to come back Thursday to have it re-checked. It was back down and nothing to worry about- we have been joking that I will still worked up from the Alabama/ Tennessee game! If the last minutes of that game did not put me in labor then Davis may never come!!!

Below are pictures to commemorate my last home bama game. I decided going to the LSU game at 38+ weeks pregnant November 7th may not be a real good idea. It was not a pretty win but ROLL TIDE!!

Baby shower and 35 weeks

Some of my sweet friends gave me a baby shower last Sunday! The shower was at the Major's beautiful home in Pike Road in which my very good friend Abbie Lee designed for her parents- so neat! There were several babies there and many of my friends are also pregnant or just had a baby. It is such a fun and special time in all our lives and I am so glad I can share it in with all of them. We have many years of fun ahead of us raising our children together and it could not be a better group of girls- love you all!

34 weeks!

We seem to be inching closer and closer to our little man's arrival! I went to the doctor again this week but the appointment was pretty uneventful. Everything still seems fine and I have another appointment on October 20th, then I start going once a week. I have gotten very uncomfortable and very limited in what I can physically do. If I drop something on the floor these days and no one is around it almost makes me want to cry- I stand there and think for a minute "how bad do I need that?" I also have had heartburn very, very bad and Zantac and tums were not phasing it! But Dr. Dupre put me on Nexium and that seems to be giving me some relief.

I also had a prenatal massage this week because I have had some swelling and my back has been really bothering me. I highly recommend them to any pregnant woman. This girl knew exactly what is sore on a pregnant body and spent a lot of time on my feet and ankles and back! And the best part is the cutout pillow that allows a 34 week pregnant woman to lay on her stomach! I used to be a stomach sleeper and this was so wonderful because it has been since April that I have been able to lay on my stomach. Davis seemed to enjoy it too- he did not move all that much during the massage:)

Got the nursery bedding!

We still have more to do but the room is starting to actually look like a nursery! We are still waiting for the shelves of the hutch to come in and we have lots to hang on the walls but here are a few pictures of the bedding and drapes that we got this week. I will post more pictures when the room is finished but I am so excited about how everything is coming together!

Work baby shower

My wonderful co-workers had a baby shower for me and my office neighbor Lisa last week. Lisa and I were both due in November but baby Jack came a little early! Jack is doing really well and hope he gets to go home real soon! Jack and Davis got some really great stuff, we work with some really wonderful ladies!!

31 weeks

I went to the doctor for my 31 week check up and everything is still great! I am measuring on schedule and Davis is in the 68% so Dr. Dupre said he is on track to be a good 8 pound baby. Dr. Dupre also informed me I am slightly ahead of schedule in weight gain- how dare he:)oh well! I am, however, starting to get a little uncomfortable. Davis feels like he is in my lungs sometimes and i can't catch my breath and I have heartburn all day everyday. Davis is unphased because he is still as active as ever! It will so be worth every bit of it but it seems like a long time until November 20th feeling like this:( Below are belly pictures before the Merrie Mimics ball.

I had my first baby shower on Sunday, September 13th. The shower was fabulous and Davis got so many amazing things! Thank you to all my sweet hostesses- it was a wonderful afternoon and I cannot thank you enough!!

4D ultrasound Pictures

We had our 4D ultrasound on Friday September 4th. Everything looks good and Davis is weighing in a little ahead of schedule at 3 and half pounds!! Below are some of the pictures- looks like my little man is going to look just like his daddy!!
